Established in 1973 by Jim Pearson Snr, Jim Pearson Transport began with a single truck and a commitment to delivering dependable transport solutions for regional Australia. What started as a small operation servicing the timber industry has grown into one of Australia’s most trusted family-owned transport and logistics companies.

Through hard work, strong customer relationships and a relentless focus on service, the business expanded into general freight, interstate linehaul and large-scale logistics operations. Long-term partnerships, including more than 30 years of service to Woolworths, have helped shape the company’s reputation for reliability, safety and consistency.

Today, under the leadership of Jim Pearson, we continue to build on the values that have guided our business for more than five decades. With over 650 dedicated professionals, six strategic locations and a modern transport fleet, Jim Pearson Transport delivers safe, efficient and customer-focused freight solutions across Australia.

1973

Jim Pearson Snr founded the business with a single truck, providing dependable transport services to the timber industry across regional New South Wales.

1980s

As customer demand grew, the fleet expanded and the company built a strong reputation for reliability, service and operational excellence.

1990s

The business expanded beyond timber transport, moving into general freight and distribution while growing its workforce and capabilities.

2000s

Strategic partnerships with major Australian businesses, including Woolworths, helped establish Jim Pearson Transport as a trusted logistics provider.
